The Wait List
How we match families to puppies — from first inquiry to go-home day.
Now accepting inquiries for 2026 litters — limited placements available
"We do not fill spots on a list. We match dogs to families — and that takes time to do right."
Our wait list is not a queue. It is the beginning of a relationship. We breed infrequently and intentionally, which means placements are limited and the process is deliberate. Every family on our list has been personally reviewed, and every puppy placement is made with the individual dog and the individual family in mind.
This page explains exactly how the process works — what to expect, what is required, and what we commit to you in return. We believe transparency at this stage makes for better outcomes for everyone, especially the dogs.
The Process
From Inquiry to Go-Home Day
Submit a Wait List Inquiry
Start by reaching out through our contact form and selecting "Wait List" as your inquiry type. Tell us about your household, your experience with large breeds, your lifestyle, and what you are looking for in a Great Dane. This is not an application — it is a conversation.
We Review Your Inquiry
We read every inquiry personally and respond within a few days. If we feel your household is a strong fit for our program, we will follow up with additional questions and schedule a call if needed. We are selective — not every inquiry results in a placement, and we will always be honest with you about fit.
Deposit to Hold Your Spot
Once we have had a chance to connect and both parties feel confident about the match, we will invite you to secure your spot with a deposit. The deposit is applied in full toward the purchase price of your puppy. Deposits are non-refundable except in the event that we are unable to produce a suitable litter within a reasonable timeframe. Deposit details are shared directly during this stage of the process.
Litter Notification
When a litter is confirmed — meaning the dam has been confirmed pregnant — we will notify all wait list families by email. At that point we will share the expected due date, the anticipated go-home date, and the projected colors and sex breakdown based on the pairing.
Puppy Selection
Selection order is determined by deposit date — first deposit, first pick. We will work with each family individually to match the right puppy to the right home based on temperament, structure, and your stated preferences. We reserve the right to make final placement recommendations in the best interest of the puppy.
Go-Home Day
Puppies go home at eight weeks. Before go-home, each puppy receives a full veterinary health examination, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, AKC registration paperwork, a health record, and a puppy packet with feeding, care, and transition guidance. We are available to you from that day forward.

Common Questions
Wait List FAQ
How long is the wait typically?
It depends on where you fall in the list and how frequently we breed. We breed intentionally and infrequently — typically one to two litters per year. Wait times can range from a few months to over a year. We will always give you an honest estimate when you inquire.
Is the deposit refundable?
Deposits are non-refundable. If you need to withdraw from the list for any reason, your deposit is forfeited. The only exception is if we are unable to produce a litter within a reasonable timeframe — in that case, we will refund your deposit in full.
Can I specify a color or sex?
You may state a preference, and we will do our best to accommodate it. However, we cannot guarantee a specific color or sex. Litter composition is determined by genetics, and we will not hold a puppy back from a better-matched home to fulfill a color preference.
What if the litter does not produce a puppy that fits my preferences?
If a litter does not produce a suitable match for your household, your deposit rolls to the next litter at no additional cost. We will never pressure you to take a puppy that is not the right fit.
Do you ship puppies?
We prefer in-person pickup whenever possible. We want to meet every family before a puppy goes home. For families outside of Louisiana, we will discuss options on a case-by-case basis. We do not use third-party transport services.
